Barker Woods offers a loop trail through mature woods of pin oak and maple; it is home to several species that are threatened or endangered in Indiana. Park just inside, but do not block, the gate. A mowed path leads west-northwest from there.

LaPorte County. From US 20 X US 421, north 0.5 miles to Barker Road, then east 0.6 miles to the entrance on the left.
