Bur Oak Nature Preserve takes its name from the large bur oak trees that occur here. A short-stem lollipop trail explores the interior, crossing as it does numerous wet areas over short boardwalks. Signage notes the presence of vernal pools and sedge meadows.


Directions


Lake County. From I-65 Exit 258 (Ridge Road), east 0.8 mile to Liverpool Road, then south 1.3 miles to a small parking area on the east side of the road.
