Coulter Nature Preserve is home to more than 400 species of plants, many unusual in Indiana. A short-stemmed lollipop trail offers access to the interior, crossing several shallow swales along the way. Look for prickly pear cactus, which is common here.


Directions


Porter County. About 0.5 mile N of U.S. 20, or 0.5 mile S of U.S. 12, on County Line Road, which divides Lake and Porter counties. A small parking pull-off is on the east side of the road.
