Eagle Slough Nature Preserve features a trail that follows an abandoned railroad bed north through bottomland forest before emerging onto an elevated viewing platform that looks over Eagle Slough. A short side trail to the east leads to a raised platform overlooking a pond. A side trail to the west is definitely hit-or-miss.
Directions
Vanderburgh County. From I-69 x US 41, south 1.1 miles on US 41, then left ¼ mile on Waterworks Rd/Shawnee Dr to the entrance on the left.
