White Oak Nature Preserve has a gently rolling loop trail of nearly a mile, crossing numerous small footbridges as it winds through white oak forest. Poison ivy and nettles are scarce, but mosquitoes and the roar of nearby I-65 can be annoying.

Directions

Clark County. From I-65 Exit 19, follow signs to Clark State Forest, then the Main Forest Road toward the fire tower. Just after crossing over I-65, a sign on the left marks the preserve. Park at the shelter on the other side of the road. Pit toilets at the shelter.
