The Blue-Sinking Watershed drains parts of Kentucky and southern Indiana. In Indiana, it covers most of Crawford County and Harrison County, as well as eastern portions of Perry County and roughly the southern half of Washington County, along with parts of four other Indiana counties. The watershed drains about 800,000 acres in Indiana.

The Little Blue River and its tributary Sinking Fork discharge into the Ohio River near Alton. The watershed includes many other watercourses that eventually flow in the Ohio River, including Poison Creek, Mill Creek, Indian Creek, and Buck Creek.
The Ohio River joins the Mississippi River, which discharges into the Gulf of Mexico.
The United States Geological Survey has assigned the Blue-Sinking Watershed an 8-Digit Hydrologic Unit Code of 051410104.
