The Lower East Fork River Watershed is in south central Indiana, where it drains about 1.3 million acres. It drains all of Lawrence County, most of Brown County, Martin County, Monroe County, and Orange County, and parts of seven other counties.

The East Fork of the White River joins the White River, which then flows into the Wabash River, which runs into the Mississippi River before discharging into the Gulf of Mexico. Tributaries of the Lower East Fork of the White River include Lost River, Boggs Creek, Sulphur Creek, Salt Creek, and Guthrie Creek, along with many other watercourses.
