Ivanhoe South is a beautiful oasis of globally rare dune-and-swale habitat in an economically distressed area. A trail leads west from the parking area, following a dune ridge. A boardwalk and an upland path connect this trail with a parallel trail on the ridge immediately to the north. No facilities.
Directions
Lake County. From U.S. 20 X IN 912 (Cline Avenue), east 1.0 mile on U.S. 20, then right ¼ mile on Colfax to a small parking area on the (west) side of Colfax.
